suggestions to present letter S is for Spider. Ideally, include

Alphabet Activities > Letter S is for Spider
Print and display alphabet printable activities of your choice in the materials column.
Finger and Pencil Tracing: Trace the letter S's with your finger in upper and lower case as you also sound out the letter. Invite the children to do the same on their coloring page. Encourage the children to trace the dotted letter with your choice of sharpened crayon, regular or coloring pencil. Demonstrate the direction of the arrows and to pay attention to the numbers that helps them trace the letter correctly. During the demonstration, you may want to count out loud and as you trace so children become aware of how the number order aids them in the process.
Find the letter S's: Have the children find all the letter S's in upper and lower case on the page and encourage them to circle or trace/shade them.
Coloring activity: Encourage the children to color the spider image with a variety of materials.
Letter S Activity Page and Mini Book program: These material can be used as part of Letter S program of activities to reinforce letter S practice and to identify related words. Read suggested instructions for using the worksheet and mini-book.
Display letter S posters and coloring pages or assemble a letter S classroom book with letter S printable activities.

Advanced independent handwriting practice:
1. Print your choice of printable lined-paper and encourage children to draw a spider behind the page or print a spider coloring page.
2. Drawing and writing paper: Encourage children to draw, color and decorate a spider and write letter S s.
