Bear Flash Cards (or assemble a minibook) to child.
Tell child the word bear starts with the letter
"B". There is a large "B" and little
"b". Trace letters with your finger as you say the letter.
Ask child to find the letter Bb inside the bear's body.
Read the bear facts and share that many children authors
have written stories about bears: Winnie the Pooh, Corduroy and others.
Ask child who is his favorite
bear cartoon or movie character. Discuss why and what does he/she enjoy
the most about this character. Include
favorite bear stuffed animal in the discussion.
Optional
activity: Print the b/w coloring page version of the B Bear poster
and have child color the page in any favorite colors.
Additional activity: Print two times to make a concentration memory
game. Mix cards, place face down. Lift two cards, if they
match set aside, if they don't place back down. |
