Activity > Discuss The Three Main Responsibilities of a Forester
The forester work is focused on three major responsibilities: Recreation, Harvest, and Reforestation. The forester helps to protect, manage the resources of the forest wisely, and keep forested areas healthy.
Recreation: The forester is like a detective and he finds clues in the forest that help match the right activities for recreational spots such as campsites, picnic areas, hiking trails, and at the same time ensure the forest remains healthy.
Harvest: The forester very carefully plans how much wood (lumber) from trees is needed for the products that we need, but at the same time making sure that the forest remains healthy and productive.
Reforestation: The forester has the responsibility of reforesting which means to decide what trees and how many to plant and to prepare the area for planting
