These activities should be part of a Bible lesson for the birth of Jesus or homes and house theme and/or crafts.
This activity is part of the Bible alphabet A to Z available in D'Nealian and Standard block handwriting formats.
Social studies > What is an inn?:
Ask children what they think is an an inn. Discuss some basic facts and show some images. Look and compare to other types of dwellings.
Explain that the word inn exhibits the short i sound. Examples: igloo, iguana, and ink
Handwriting worksheet tips:
Encourage the children to trace the dotted letter, and explain the direction of the arrows and numbers that help them trace the letter correctly.
During the demonstration, you may want to count out loud as you trace so children become aware of how the number order aids them in the writing process.
Have the children find all the letter A's in upper and lower case on the page and encourage them to circle them.
Children ages 3+:

1. Print your choice of printable lined-paper. Have children draw and color an inn behind the lined paper.
