Groundhog Printable Craft (Woodchuck)
Young children will have fun making an easy and fun craft of a groundhog
or woodchuck. Learn about Groundhog Day with a fun video story. This activity is suitable for preschool through first-grade.
Materials:
- printer
- paper or card stock (or light blue paper for B&W template 2)
- scissors
- glue
- coloring tools for black & white templates
Craft instructions and learning activities:
- Learning activities to conduct before craft assembly:
- Counting and recognizing numerals during the assembly process > Count
out loud how many template pieces are needed to complete the
craft. Print numbers to the back in the order in which these will be
assembled and turn face down.
- Colors > Discuss the groundhog is brown. Name other
things that may be brown.
